End-of-the-Year 2025 Newsletter

As we wrap up 2025 and step into 2026, we want to pause and say thank you. Your support has helped The Israel Bridge grow into a stronger home for Israeli student-athletes across the United States.
Here are some of the key highlights from this year:
Provided mini-grants for urgent needs: We delivered direct support to 19 Israeli student-athletes facing basic and time-sensitive needs.
Expanded nationwide Israeli student-athletes support: We supported 450+ Israeli student-athletes across more than 200 universities all across the U.S. Please see our map to view where our athletes are located.
Launched our website: Visit us at https://theisraelbridge.org/

Hosted 2 successful community events in Palm Beach Gardens: We brought together donors, families, and students for inspiration and learning. In total, 25 Israeli student-athletes participated in a moderated panel discussion, and more than 250 guests attended.
More events ahead: In the first quarter of 2026, we will host two additional events, one in Palm Springs and one in Atlanta. If you would like to attend, please contact us at [email protected].
Supporting Israeli student-athletes facing antisemitism: Our Israeli student-athletes are highly visible on campus and often create meaningful impact through speaking, mentoring, and campus events. We encourage and support this work, including small grants when needed. Their visibility, however, can also make them targets of antisemitism. When that occurs, we connect them with the right organizations and resources, and when necessary, we work with university officials to help ensure their safety and well-being.
Grew our host family network: Volunteer families host athletes for holidays, Shabbats, and meals, giving them a true home away from home. If you would like to join our host family community, please fill out this form.
Built a business and career network: We are actively developing connections with companies and business leaders to help athletes access internships and job opportunities.
Strengthened our team: Dan Aronovic is continuing our operations in Israel and is now supported by our new Israeli Recruiter, Ran Souva, a former Israeli student-athlete at Pacific University, playing water polo. During the first quarter of 2025, Keren Rosenberg joined as our Atlanta-based Executive Director.
Thank you again for supporting our mission. As you consider end-of-year giving, we invite you to make an additional donation to The Israel Bridge so we can start 2026 strong and continue providing our athletes with community, opportunity, and essential resources.

2025 Highlight Story
Closing 2025 with a Splash: Anastasia Gorbenko Shines for Israel

In 2025, Israeli swimming star Anastasia Gorbenko from the University of Louisville, KY, lit up the international stage, winning the overall women’s title on the prestigious Mare Nostrum tour with 10 medals and new Israeli records in the 50 and 100 meter backstroke. She then added two more international podium finishes at the European Short Course Championships in the 100 and 200 meter individual medley, along with another national record in the 100 meter breaststroke. Her incredible season reflects the world-class level of the Israeli student-athletes that The Israel Bridge is proud to support, and the pride they bring to Israel in every race.
